Bentley, Alberta ~ A Place To Grow In The Heart Of Central Alberta

Placed between Gull Lake and Sylvan Lake we are a hidden gem. For the last over 100 years we have had much of the busy  truck traffic running through our main downtown street as Highway 12. Now with 12 as a bypass we are just 20 seconds off as 12A. 

 

Our town has many reasons, activities and businesses to have you come in for a visit and stay to raise your families here. Bentley has great school facilities from K to 12. Recently the Joslyn Snow Memorial playgrounds and outdoor multi-court has been built to the tune of nearly half a million dollars on our school grounds. Our new subdivision (the one you are viewing here) is just three houses away from this amazing addition for the children, youth and adults. We have a paved bike and walking track to the campgrounds in Gull Lake. Three miles on a paved road from town is Sandy Point, a development of 170 lots in the first stages as well as 70 full service campground sites.  A beautiful serviced beach has been developed and built by the County of Lacombe just three miles from town. There is a boat launch and docks developed.  Plans for the bike/walking path will branch off from our Gull Lake Path to Sandy Point and the work on a complete 18 hole golf course is moving toward completion.

 

Bentley offers a great community-built Ag Center that can accommodate about five hundred and is connected to the 30 sites at our in town campground. Our busy arena and curling rink also doubles in the summer for the Great Bentley Rodeo on the first full week of August and Farmers Market that many hundreds of people attend every Saturday from May Long to September Long weekend. Nine miles west of town is the Medicine Hills Ski Hill.

Bentley has great family sports and teams who often win provincial awards. Our soccer field is always busy, school sports are great and teams often host provincial tournaments. We have some unique stores including The Kite Guys with a store and manufacturing site in the country that ships all over the world. People come to Bentley to find products and services that are worth getting. Our restaurants draw many people as a great place to enjoy great service, food and atmosphere. Bentley is located just a few minutes from two cities and two towns, and is only an hour away from the Edmonton International Airport.  

 

Bentley is well known as a friendly community, with reasonable basic utilities and excellent soft water. With our great public works staff we have excellent timely removal of winter snowfalls throughout the whole town and beautiful summer flowers even on our extra wide main street. Our volunteer fire department is a full team of well-trained quick responders that serve us as well as part of the Lacombe County responders.
